Fundraising Basics for Private School Facilities
This report, recently posted by the National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities, an Affiliate ERIC Clearinghouse, explains terms common to charitable giving, how to set up a comprehensive development program, how to plan a capital campaign, and more. The report also lists resources for additional information about fundraising for private schools.

"User's Guide: Librarians"
The ERIC Clearinghouse on Higher Education (ERIC/HE) has created a new Web page with links to ERIC information and resources of special interest to librarians. This page includes the ERIC system's policies and major rules for materials selection, indexing, and abstracting; ERIC/HE tutorials; a list of the journals indexed by ERIC/HE, along with their status as refereed or nonrefereed; and ERIC descriptors frequently used for indexing the higher education literature.

Women and Minorities in High-Tech Careers
This new Digest from the ERIC Clearinghouse on Adult, Career, and Vocational Education presents ways that schools and teachers can attract women and minorities to and prepare them for high-tech careers. Some ideas discussed are integrating technology into a variety of subject areas, changing student attitudes toward technology, involving business in technology education programs, and providing information to students about the market for technology jobs.
